Update - Pierces Creek Bush / Grass Fire - Birrigai Outdoor School
The ACT Emergency Services Agency is liaising with the ACT Education Directorate to assure parents that there is currently no risk to students at Birrigai Outdoor School (Birrigai).
Approximately 150 Year Three and Four students from Miles Franklin Primary School are currently safe at Birrigai under the supervision of the school's principal and other teaching staff.
There is currently no threat to the school from a bushfire burning at Pierces Creek.
The bushfire burning at Pierces Creek is approximately 10kms north of the Birrigai and is burning at a slow rate in an easterly direction.
