ACT Fire & Rescue has extinguished a car fire at a service station in Hawker.
Crews were alerted to the incident on Springvale Drive at 1.52pm and responded with two fire pumpers and a commander.
The car caught fire as it was filling at the bowser, but firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and ensured that no damage was done to the service station itself or any equipment.
Staff at the scene isolated the fuel supply and evacuated, but the service station will re-open soon.
