Storm and Flood Assistance
The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) will be deploying personnel to help with fire fighting efforts continuing in Western Australia.
Three members from ACT Rural Fire Service and two from ACT Fire & Rescue will be joining a multi-agency contingent comprising of 62 incident management specialists from NSW, QLD, SA and the ACT.
The ESA personnel will leave Canberra flying to Sydney at 3:00pm. They will be briefed in Sydney and then fly from Sydney to Perth at 5:30pm beginning operations tomorrow, working mainly in divisional command and resource management.
It is anticipated at this stage that they will be deployed for five to seven days.
