Update - Firefighters investigating smell of smoke at city apartment block

Units have completed their search of the 12-storey building.

There was substantial smoke logging on the 11th floor due to an electrical short in a light fitting.

Following atmospheric testing all residents have been allowed back into the building.

Crews will shortly leave the scene.
