Storm and Flood Assistance
Two Geographical Information System (GIS) specialists from the ESA Mapping and Planning Support (MAPS) Volunteer team have been deployed to Wagga Wagga to assist in fighting fires in the region.
The New South Wales Rural Fire Service formally requested additional support this morning.
The duo, who left this afternoon, are expected to return on Friday.
Thirty-five personnel from the ACT Rural Fire Service, ACT Emergency Service (ESA), ESA mechanics and ESA Mapping and Planning Support Volunteer sent yesterday to Tumut are reported to be in high spirits and will return to the ACT in two days.
