17 calls for help following storm activity

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received a total of 17 calls for help following tonight's storm activity.

ACTSES volunteers and ACT Fire & Rescue crews have responded to mostly minor damage with leaking roofs as well as trees and branches across roads and pathways.

One report of a pergola that was extensively damaged at Banks.

The majority of calls for help have been in Canberra's southern suburbs.

Residents who require emergency storm or flood assistance can call the ACTSES on 132-500.
