Update two on house fire at Red Hill

Fire has been extinguished.

Fire started in garage of house and spread through the roof space.

Extensive damage to approximately 25-per cent of the house, estimated at $100,000.

Fire crews will remain on scene overnight to prevent any reignition.

Routine fire cause determination will be undertaken tomorrow.

Time of Emergency Triple Zero (000) call 7.39pm, with fire crews arriving within six minutes to prevent fire totally destroying the property. On arrival to the fire, crews noticed house was well alight with smoke alarm sounding.
