Fire in roof of Monash property

ACT Fire & Rescue (ACT F&R) are currently on scene at Scratchley Place, Monash, following a fire in the roof of a duplex residential property.

ACT F&R responded to the blaze after receiving numerous Emergency Triple Zero (000) calls for help.

The fire was quickly extinguished and contained to the roof cavity of the property.

Three fire pumpers, a Command vehicle and Breathing Apparatus Support van are on scene.

Crews are currently conducting ventilation and air monitoring.

One person was home at the time and safely self evacuated.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
