ACTSES responds to rain damage

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received 10 requests for assistance following heavy rain today (1 December).

ACT Fire & Rescue are also assisting with the response.

Most of the jobs have related to fallen trees and water coming into homes.

The ACTSES is advising people to not climb onto roofs to remove leaf litter in the wet, and to assess their property in the morning when safe to do so.

No injuries or serious damage have been reported so far.

For help in floods or storms call 132 500. In a life threating emergency call Triple Zero (000).
