ACTSES responds to 12 calls for help

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received 12 requests for assistance following wet weather across Canberra.

Two ACTSES volunteer teams, Rivers and Tuggeranong, are responding to the calls for help and are being supported by ACT Fire & Rescue.

No major damage has been reported. The majority of jobs have been for leaking roofs.

With rain expected to continue throughout the weekend the public is reminded to stay well clear of storm drains as they can fill up quickly. Call 132 500 for storm or flood assistance.
