Update - 49 calls for help following wet weather

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has now received a total of 49 calls for help since 11am today due to the wet weather.

ACTSES volunteers, ACT Fire & Rescue and crews from the Territory and Municipal Services Directorate are responding to mostly minor flooding jobs with leaking roofs and flooded basements across a widespread area of the ACT. Crews are currently attending to a leaking roof on the Sydney Building, East Row in the city.

The Bureau of Meteorology has now CANCELLED the Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the ACT.

Residents can call the ACT SES on 132 500 for storm or flood assistance.
