ADVICE - Update - Grass fire on Murrumbidgee River

The ACT Rural Fire Service is working to extinguish a grass fire burning on private property off the Cotter Road.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

The ACT Rural Fire Service has multiple units on scene from the nearby Rivers and Parks brigades. A water bombing helicopter has also been deployed to the fire.

The fire is located Fairvale property on the Murrumbidgee River.

The fire is approximately 200 square metres in size and is being controlled. There is no property under threat at this time.

The Fire Danger Rating where this fire is burning is LOW-MODERATE.

Fires burning in LOW-MODERATE conditions can be easily controlled.

There is little to no risk to life and property in the urban or rural areas of the ACT.
