ACTSES responding to storm damage

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has recieved a total of 25 calls for help from the community so far as a result of the current storm activity in the ACT.

The majority of calls have come from suburbs in Belconnen and Gungahlin.

Initial reports have been recieved of areas of flash flooding on roadways, fallen trees and low visibility.

Motorists are urged to take extra care and drive to conditions.

People caught outdoors at Australia Day festivities are asked to follow the directions of venue organisers.
