Update two - ADVICE - Grass fire in Belconnen

ACT Rural Fire Service and ACT Fire & Rescue are now mopping up a grass fire burning at Coppins Crossing Road Belconnen.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

The ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Rural Fire Service has several units on scene.

If a fire starts at the current fire danger level of SEVERE it may be uncontrollable and move quickly. Flames may be higher than roof tops.

Expect embers to be blown around. Spot fires may occur up to 4 km ahead of the fire.

There is a chance people in the path of a fire may be injured or die. Some homes and businesses may be destroyed.
