Five patients injured in head on collision in Canberras south

Five patients aged from three to 74 have been injured this afternoon in a head on collision in Canberra's south.

The ACT Ambulance Service responded with two ambulances to the Monaro Highway about one kilometre south of Royalla. They were also backed up with one ambulance from the NSW Ambulance Service.

Intensive care paramedics arrived on scene to find a three year old with neck pain, a 17 year old boy with back pain, a 32 year old woman with chest and seat belt injuries, a 58 year old woman with seatbelt injuries and a 74 year old man with chest injuries.

All were transported to the Canberra Hospital in stable conditions.
