Update 57 - More rain forecast tonight

A Severe Weather Warning for Flash Flooding remains current for the ACT.

The latest advice from the Bureau of Meteorology suggests that rain is likely to continue through the evening and into tomorrow morning. Rain should ease with clearing conditions late tomorrow. Another 50mm of rain is likely from the remainder of today till midday tomorrow.

There is little likelihood of strong winds, hail or thunderstorms today or tomorrow. It is still expected that Monday will see the start of a spell of dry weather.

The ACTSES remind the community to stay well clear of fast flowing water. Do not enter drains or other expanses of water under any circumstances.

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received a total of 648 calls for help since 3pm Tuesday. 71 calls have been received today. ACTSES crews will continue to work through the evening with the support of ACT Fire & Rescue, the ACT Rural Fire Service and the Territory and Municipal Services directorate.
