Approx 120 people from the Birch Building have been evacuated. No other evacuations from the ANU at this stage.

ACT Fire & Rescue on scene at a structure fire in a building at the Australian National University on Science Road, Acton.

Crews investigating the building to find the source of the smoke.

Building has heavy smoke logging.

People have been evacuated from the building as a precaution.

Two car accident on Barry Drive OConnor

ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Ambulance Service have attended a two vehicle accident on Barry Drive, O’Connor.

ACT Fire & Rescue used hydraulic rescue tools to release the driver of a vehicle.

ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics have stabilised the male patient aged in his 30’s and treated him for minor injuries.

The male patient is currently being taken to The Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.
