Final update on fire in Kambah apartment

ACT Fire & Rescue crews responded following multiple Emergency Triple Zero (000) calls at 8.50pm.

Three fire pumpers on scene with the Breathing Apparatus Support vehicle, hazardous materials unit and a command vehicle.

Crews conducting ventilation and air monitoring of apartment and neighbouring units in complex.

ACT Fire & Rescue will shortly hand over to ACT Policing to determine the cause of the fire.

Update on fire in Kambah apartment

Fire has been extinguished.

Brick and tile apartment has sustained major damage.

Apartment was vacant at time of fire.

ACT Fire & Rescue firefighters have prevented the fire from spreading to three adjoining units.

Some smoke penetration in adjoining units. Occupants of those units safely self evacuated with some assistance also from firefighters.

Fire in Kambah apartment

ACT Fire & Rescue on scene at an apartment fire on Pinkerton Circuit, Kambah.

Apartment has sustained partial roof collapse.

Update two on small fire in electrical distribution board at the Tuggeranong Hyperdome

ACT Fire & Rescue continuing ventilation and atmospheric monitoring operations.

Damage localised to electrical distribution board.

ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics also on scene assisting with operations as required. No injuries reported.

ACT Fire & Rescue expect to conclude operations soon and the shopping centre should reopen at approx 5.45pm. Crews notified by an Emergency Triple Zero (000) call at 4.38pm.

Small fire has been extinguished.

Shopping centre has heavy smoke logging and ACT Fire & Rescue crews conducting ventilation operations.

Three fire pumpers on scene, the Breathing Apparatus Support vehicle, the Bronto Skylift Hydraulic Platform and command vehicle. The specialist Hazardous Materials unit has also been deployed.
