Update on single vehicle accident, Wallaroo Rd

The male patient has now been removed from the vehicle.

ACT Fire fighters removed the door of the wreck to extricate the confined male.

ACT Intensive Care Paramedics are currently transporting the man to The Canberra Hospital for further assessment. He is believed to have suffered injury to his lower limbs.

ACT Emergency Services have now departed the scene.

Single motor vehicle accident, Wallaroo Rd

The ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Fire & Rescue are currently on scene at a single motor vehicle accident at the Wallaroo Rd exit close to the Barton Highway.

One male patient is currently trapped in the wreckage.

Fire fighters are preparing to extricate the man from the vehicle.

Two fire pumpers are on scene.

The initial Emergency Triple Zero (000) call was received from the trapped patient and alerted ACT Emergency Services to the incident.

Update two – House fire in Gungahlin

The fire has been extinguished.

Firefighters are now conducting salvage operations.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.

About sixty per cent of the house has been fire damaged and the rest affected by smoke.

The initial damage estimate is $250,000.

Update – House fire in Gungahlin

Firefighters have contained the fire to the back section of the single level brick veneer home.

Crews are still working to extinguish the blaze which is still burning in the roof.

A search on arrival found no one inside the property.

House fire in Gungahlin

ACT Fire & Rescue is responding to a house fire in Attunga Street Gungahlin.

First crew to arrive has reported a partial roof collapse.
