12:03pm Wednesday 7 September 2011 – Truck fire at Fyshwick

ACT Fire Brigade on scene of a truck fire on the Monaro Highway, Fyshwick.

Fire has been mostly extinguished from the engine compartment inside the truck cabin.

The occupant of the truck safely self evacuated.

Crews are expected to remain on scene till approx 12.30pm.

5:25pm Tuesday 6 September 2011 – Two men burned in Civic resturant

Two men have been taken to the Canberra Hospital by the ACT Ambulance Service after sustaining burns in a Civic resturant.

The ACT Ambulance Service and ACT Fire Brigade where called to Hogs Breath Cafe on London Circuit just before 5 o’clock this afternoon.

Intensive care paramedics arrived to find two male patients in their twenties. One had burns to his left leg, the second had burns to his left arm and face.

They were stablised on scene then taken to hospital in a stable condition.

3:37pm Sunday 4 September 2011 – Update on grass fire at Conder

Grass fire has been extinguished with crews from the ACT Fire Brigade and ACT Rural Fire Service conducting mopping up operations.

Approx two hectares of area has been burnt.

Time of Emergency Triple Zero (000) call 2.36pm.

Cause of fire will be investigated.

3:05pm Sunday 4 September 2011 – Grass fire in Conder

ACT Fire Brigade on scene of a grass fire behind Montgomery Place, Conder.

No threat to any property.

Estimated size of grass fire 20 metres x 50 metres.

ACT Rural Fire Service has also been called to assist in extinguishing the grass fire.
