3:55pm Thursday 15 September 2011 – Controlled burn tomorrow at Chapman Ridge

The ACT Department of Territory and Municipal Services (TAMS) will conduct a controlled burn tomorrow, Friday 16 September, 2011 weather permitting, at Chapman Ridge.

The ACT Handy Map grid reference for the burn is J13.

11:50am Thursday 15 September 2011 – Hazard reduction burn tonight at Fairbairn

The ACT Rural Fire Service (ACTRFS) Jerrabomberra Brigade will conduct a hazard reduction burn tonight, Thursday 15 September, 2011, weather permitting, from 6.30pm till 9.30pm, near Richmond Ave, Fairbairn.

Three tankers, one light unit and 12 personnel will conduct the burn covering a total area of approx one hectare.

The purpose of the burn is to reduce a fire hazard with the removal of accumulated fuel.

2:05pm Monday 12 September 2011 – Update on gas leak at Majura Park

ACT Fire Brigade and Canberra Airport fire crews have isolated the gas leak.

Contractors on scene to repair the 75mm gas line.

Staff and shoppers permitted to return to Jim Murphy Airport Cellars and ACT Fire Brigade will depart the scene shortly.
