Update four – ACTSES receives 74 calls for storm help

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received a total of 74 calls for help from the public as a result of the storm activity overnight.

ACTSES units continue to respond with eight jobs outstanding.

Anyone who needs emergency storm assistance should call the ACTSES on 132 500.

Update three – ACTSES receives 68 calls for storm help

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received a total of 68 calls for help from the public as a result of the storm activity overnight.

ACTSES units continue to respond with seven jobs outstanding.

A large number of the all outs have been for minor flooding. A small amount have been for fallen trees.

There has been no significant damage reported.

47 of the call outs were evenly spread across North Canberra, Belconnen and Gungahlin.

The other 21 were on the Southside.

The ACTSES will remain on standby with further rain and storm activity predicted later today.

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received a total of 37 calls for help from the public as a result of the storm activity tonight.

Four ACTSES units continue to respond with 13 jobs outstanding.

Call outs have been for minor flooding. Still no significant damage reported.

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received a total of 24 calls for help from the public as a result of the storm activity tonight.

Call outs have been for minor flooding. No significant damage reported.

ACTSES receives 14 calls for storm help

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received 14 calls for help from the public as a result of the current storm activity.

Five jobs have been completed so far by our ACTSES volunteer units.

Crews are currently on scene at the Belconnen Basketball Stadium which has sustained some flood damage.
