Pedestrian being treated following collision

ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics are treating a female pedestrian following a collision on Guthridge Crescent, Wanniassa.

The patient is being assessed for lower limb injuries as well as cuts and abrasions.

Controlled burn tomorrow at Evatt

The Territory and Municipal Services Directorate will tomorrow, Thursday 18 December, 2014, weather permitting, conduct a controlled burn at Evatt.

The burn will occur on two small plots adjacent to Croke Place and William Webb Drive, near Ginninderra Creek.

ACT RFS continues to assist with NSW fire

An ACT Rural Fire Service strike team continues to support NSW crews on the fire ground at Yass this evening.

The team consists of four heavy tankers, a medium tanker and a commander.

Additional resources have been deployed to Murrumbatemen to support air operations from that location.

ACT volunteers have also been assisting with aviation support at Canberra Airport and the Hume Helicopter Base throughout the afternoon.

It is anticipated that ACT RFS volunteers will continue to provide support to this incident over the coming days.
