Belconnen apartment fire extinguished

ACT Fire & Rescue has extinguished a fire in an apartment on Cabena Court, Belconnen.

Fire damage to one room on the first floor unit and smoke and heat damage to the apartment.

Two fire pumpers on scene along with the Breathing Apparatus Van, Hazardous Material Unit and one Commander.

Multiple Emergency Triple Zero (000) calls were received from 11.48am.

No injuries.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway.

One occupant safely self evacuated who had a working smoke alarm.

Update – House fire in Ainslie

Crews have extinguished the fire which started in a front room of the fibro house.

No-one was home at the time of the fire.

Investigations into the cause of the fire have now commenced.

Time of Emergency Triple Zero (000) call was 6.43am.

ACT Fire & Rescue are working to extinguish a house fire in Hawdon Street, Ainslie.

Three fire pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Support Van and one commander are on scene.

Update Two – Single vehicle crash at Richardson

ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics have treated the 24-year-old female for possible fractures on the left arm and left leg and taken her to The Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.

Firefighters removed the roof and the drivers side of the vehicle to access the female occupant who was trapped by the legs.

The female was the only occupant of the vehicle.
