Incident information

ESA news alerts

Emergency alerts, updates or emergency warning information are provided 24/7 through the ESA Media and Community Information Unit Duty Media Liaison Officer. This information is published on the home page of this website, the ESA Twitter and Facebook account and as an RSS feed.

ESA news alerts are also provided to ACT local media outlets and Canberra Connect.

Geospatial XML feed

The ESA publishes certain types of current incidents through a geospatial XML feed (GeoRSS). The feed comes directly from the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system in the ESA Communications Centre and is updated every 60 seconds.

The data contained in this feed does not contain all type of incidents attended by the ESA agencies.

This feed does not provide emergency alerts, updates or emergency warning information. (Please see ESA news alerts section above)

ESA Incidents Map

The ESA Incidents Map is a free tool we’ve made available to provide a visual overview of incidents ESA agencies are currently responding to in the ACT. The ESA Incidents Map uses the data from the current incidents feed.
