Feedback and observations
In general, during the initial formal public consultation period (2 November – 17 December 2011), the local community including residents, schools and Aranda District Playing Field users support the overall community benefit of improved emergency services. However some local residents were opposed to the ESA proposal.
Following the initial community consultation and detailed due diligence assessment processes, the ESA submitted a Planning Report to the Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate (ESDD) for the purpose of seeking a variation to the Territory Plan to enable the development of new station in Aranda. The draft variation (DV 315) for Aranda and the ESA’s Planning Report are available for review on the ESDD website. For details about the comprehensive site selection process for Aranda refer to Section 3 (pages 13-39) of the Aranda Planning Report.
The ESA is interested in receiving your comments and feedback about the proposal.
