- The site for a new Fire & Rescue station is located on vacant land at the entry to the Pialligo village, at the intersection of Beltana Road and Pialligo Avenue.
- This proposed new Fire & Rescue Station is a vital link in the overarching strategy to build new stations in optimal locations that will provide improved emergency response coverage to the Canberra community.
- After consultation and engagement with the Pialligo Residents’ Associations (PRA), the proposed new Fire & Rescue station was formally incorporated into the Pialligo Master Plan released by the ACT Government in late 2013.
- The ‘forward design’ process for the proposed Fire & Rescue station will commence in late 2014. The ESA and the ‘design team’ will consult with the PRA to ensure that the ‘landscaped’ look and feel at the Beltana Road entry to the Pialligo village is enhanced through any future construction of the station.
