ACTSES receives 42 calls for help

ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) received 42 requests for assistance following storms across the Canberra region overnight, with one job still underway. The majority of requests were received from Civic, Braddon and Dickson in relation to minor roof damage, fallen trees across roads and local flooding issues. Volunteer units from ACTSES were supported by ACT Rural Fire Service volunteers, ACT Fire & Rescue crews, Access Canberra and Transport Canberra and City Services. ACTSES remind the Canberra community to #BeStormReady and to visit the ESA website for information on how to prepare for a storm. If you see any issues on the roads this morning call Access Canberra on 132500.
