Firefighters have extinguished a fire in an Ainslie home.
ACT Fire & Rescue was called to Paterson Street just after 4:30pm. There was significant damage to the house and the roof collapsed.
No one was home at the time but crews rescued a dog from inside the house, that is now in the care of neighbours.
Firefighters are dampening down hot spots. Investigations into the cause are ongoing but it is not suspicious.
