ACTSES responds to 69 calls for help

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has now responded to 69 calls for help over the weekend.

The majority of requests for assistance have been for leaking roofs and fallen trees. Some jobs have been in response to collapsed ceilings due to water inundation.

All six ACTSES units have been activated to reduce the immediate risk of damage and danger at homes across Canberra. ACT Fire & Rescue is also providing assistance.

The public is reminded to stay well clear of storm drains as they can fill up quickly. Call 132 500 for storm or flood assistance.
