ADVICE - Update three - Bushfire at Mt Clear

The ACT Rural Fire Service is working to extinguish a bushfire burning at Mt Clear near the ACT/NSW border.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

There are 21 firefighters from the ACT Rural Fire Service including volunteers and seasonal members of the PARKS Brigade on the scene working with the support of five helicopters and two fixed wing planes conducting water and retardant bombing on the fire.

The use of water and retardant bombing aircraft is in place of fire trucks which can’t access the fireground due to the rough terrain.

The fire is now approximately 13 hectares in size and is being controlled.
