ADVICE - Update four - Bushfire at Mt Clear

The ACT Rural Fire Service is working to extinguish a bushfire burning at Mt Clear near the ACT/NSW border.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

All helicopters have returned to the Hume base for the evening. Six remote area firefighters will remain on site overnight to monitor, map and mop-up the fire and its containment lines.

The fire is now approximately 22 hectares in size and is being controlled.

In the morning an additional 22 firefighters will enter the fireground. Helictopers and fixed wing planes will also be in use again tomorrow.
