85 calls to ACTSES for help

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received 85 calls for help following the storms.

There have been 56 calls from Tuggeranong, 15 from Weston Creek region and 12 in the Woden Valley.

The majority have been for flooding in houses and garages.

There have also been several calls for trees across roads and leaking roofs.

The ACTSES has asked motorists to drive to the conditions and to be aware of fast flowing water on roads.

Parents are urged to know where their children are and keep them away from all outdoor water sources.
