Update six – 107 calls for help following windy weather

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received 107 calls for help since 10am today due to the strong winds.

ACTSES and ACT Rural Fire Service volunteers, ACT Fire & Rescue as well as crews from the Territory and Municipal Services Directorate have responded to mostly calls for trees and branches across roads, pathways and some structures.

Crews will continue to work through the afternoon and into the evening to assist the community.

Residents who require storm or flood assistance can call the ACTSES on 132 500.
