Update five - 87 calls for help following windy weather

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has received 87 calls for help since 10am today due to the strong winds.

ACTSES and ACT Rural Fire Service volunteers, ACT Fire & Rescue as well as crews from the Territory and Municipal Services Directorate have responded to mostly calls for trees and branches across roads, pathways and some structures.

ACTSES has also received reports of minor damage to various shade sails, pergolas and roof tiles.

Calls have been widespread across the territory.

Residents who require storm or flood assistance can call the ACTSES on 132 500.
