Electrical fire in a rangehood at Florey

ACT Fire & Rescue on scene at Hamblin Place, Florey, following an electrical fire in a rangehood appliance at a household kitchen.

Minimal damage.

Occupants were home and extinguished the fire in the rangehood which was operating at the time.

ACT Fire & Rescue crews are currently conducting ventilation and air monitoring of the three bedroom house and have ensured the fire did not spread into the roof space.
